The Cornwall, a luxury residential cooperative at 255 West 90th Street on Manhattan's Upper West Side, is a twelve-story Art Nouveau apartment building designed by Neville & Bagge and completed in 1909. Clad in brick and stone, it occupies the northwest corner of Broadway and 90th Street and is distinguished by elaborate balcony and window detailing and an ornate terra-cotta cornice that the AIA Guide to New York City described as "a terra-cotta diadem." In 1991, the building's owner-occupants invested $600,000 to replace the cornice and ornamented balconies with terra-cotta replicas of the originals, preserving the structure's elaborate ornamental character.
