At the intersection of 19th Street and Eleventh Avenue in Manhattan's West Chelsea neighborhood, 100 Eleventh Avenue rises as a 23-story residential tower completed in 2010. Designed by Jean Nouvel in collaboration with Beyer Blinder Belle, the building represents a synthesis of innovation and local character. Nouvel conceived it as "a vision machine," and it features one of New York City's most technologically advanced curtain wall systems, while simultaneously referencing the area's industrial masonry heritage. This dual nature—cutting-edge engineering paired with contextual architectural tradition—defines the tower's distinctive presence along the West Side Highway.
