The Lenru is a six-story cooperative apartment building in the Norwood neighborhood of the Bronx, erected in 1928 in the Jacobethan Revival style, which blended Tudor and Elizabethan architectural elements. Named after its original owners, siblings Lenny and Ruth Kandell, the building contains 104 units and stands across from Williamsbridge Oval Park, sited where the old Williamsbridge Reservoir once stood. The structure underwent restoration beginning in the late 1980s as the first rehabilitation project of the Mosholu Preservation Corporation, and was converted into a cooperative in 1991 when it transferred to the Lenru Apartment Corporation.
