Traventhal House, near Bad Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein, served as the summer residence of the dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Plön. During the 18th century, it achieved renown for its Baroque garden—the largest and most significant of its kind in the duchies. The property's prominence declined following the dissolution of the Duchy of Plön in 1761. The original structure was demolished in the late 19th century and superseded by a new building constructed in the historicist architectural style prevalent at that time. Today it remains designated a heritage monument (Kulturdenkmal) in Schleswig-Holstein.
