Trevose Head Lighthouse stands on the north Cornish coast near Padstow, a brick tower 27 metres tall completed in 1847 to the design of engineer James Walker. Built to fill a navigational gap where no light existed between Land's End and Lundy, it was positioned to be visible from Cape Cornwall to Hartland Point and commands a nominal range of 20 nautical miles—though on clear nights its beam can be discerned from Pendeen Lighthouse, some 56 kilometres distant. The structure is Grade II listed.
