The Trocadero Theatre, a historic opera house completed in 1870 in Philadelphia's Chinatown district, originally opened as the Arch Street Opera House. Throughout its history, the venue hosted diverse entertainment including musical comedies, vaudeville, opera, and burlesque performances. Following a refurbishment in the 1970s, it reopened as an art house cinema and fine arts theatre, and by the 1990s had evolved into an iconic venue for rock and punk concerts. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
