Sited on New Hampshire Route 171 in Tuftonboro, this Greek Revival Methodist church, built around 1853, ranks among the finest ecclesiastical examples of its style in the Lakes Region. Its restrained classical lines and proportions embody the architectural ideals of the mid-nineteenth century, when Greek Revival aesthetics dominated American Protestant church design. The building was recognized for its historical and architectural significance when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
