Located in Rye, Westchester County, New York, this Colonial Revival post office was constructed in 1935 under the direction of Louis A. Simon, the Office of the Supervising Architect. A one-story structure with a symmetrical flat roof, the building features a central recessed entrance framed by broad limestone surround and a shallow decorated cornice. The interior lobby contains a mural titled "John Jay at His Home," painted by Guy Pene du Bois in 1938. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the building was renamed the Caroline O'Day Post Office in 2010 to honor Congresswoman Caroline O'Day's public service.
