Located in Whitehall, Washington County, New York, the US Post Office-Whitehall is a modest one-story Colonial Revival building constructed between 1937 and 1938. Designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department under Louis A. Simon, it exemplifies the understated federal post office architecture of the New Deal era. The red-brick structure spans three bays and houses a notable interior mural, "Settlement of Skenesborough," painted by Axel Horn in 1939. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
