Valley View is a mid-19th-century Greek Revival residence and farm in Hampshire County, West Virginia, perched on a promontory where Depot Valley meets the South Branch Potomac River northwest of Romney. Built by James Parsons Jr. in 1855, the two-story brick house features a rectangular plan with a front entrance sheltered by a small portico topped by a pediment and supported by wooden Doric columns. The rear elevation, which overlooks the scenic South Branch Potomac River valley and Mill Creek Mountain, is distinguished by a two-story wood porch. Each of the house's original eight large rooms contains a fireplace with a wooden mantelpiece displaying classical elements. The original windows, wooden trim, and materials remain substantially intact throughout the main structure. Named Valley View by Elizabeth Harmison, who drew inspiration from her childhood Virginia home and the landscape views, the property was restored by its current owners, Robert and Kim Mayhew, who acquired it in 1979. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
