Villa Etelinda, designed by the renowned architect Charles Garnier and completed in 1900, stands at 38 Via Romana in Bordighera, in the province of Imperia in Liguria. Originally built as Villa Bischoffsheim, the house was renamed in 1896 by Claude Bowes-Lyon, 13th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne—the paternal grandfather of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. Designated as Italian national heritage, the villa remains under the protection of the Superintendent for Architectural Heritage and Landscape of Liguria.
