Located near Wilhelmshaven in Lower Saxony, the Voslapp Range Rear Light is a concrete lighthouse completed in 1962 that stands 61 metres tall, making it the twenty-second tallest traditional lighthouse in the world. The tower measures 4.5 metres in diameter and houses a 250-watt lamp. Situated about 8 kilometres north of Wilhelmshaven and 4.3 kilometres behind the dike from its paired front range light, it replaced an earlier single lighthouse dating to 1907. The site remains open to visitors, though the tower itself is closed to the public, and the light continues to serve as an active navigational aid.
