The W. A. Mason House is a 2½-story wood-frame residence at 87 Raymond Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, built in 1846 for W. A. Mason, a city surveyor who played a significant role in mapping and developing Cambridge during the nineteenth century. Extended to the rear in 1867, the house acquired a T-shaped plan marked by a blend of architectural styles: Greek Revival corner pilasters and Italianate decorative window hoods combine in its massing, while a single-story porch fronts the projecting arm of the T. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, it exemplifies the transitional architectural tastes of mid-nineteenth-century New England residential design.
