Built in 1917 under the supervision of the Office of the Supervising Architect, the Waynesville Municipal Building is a two-story brick post office in the Classical Revival style, located in Haywood County, North Carolina. The rectangular structure, measuring 58 by 73 feet, features brick Ionic pilasters with granite bases and capitals, along with a one-story rear extension. It served as Waynesville's post office until 1966, when the Town of Waynesville purchased it to become the municipal building. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, it stands within the Waynesville Main Street Historic District. Original blueprints discovered in 2026, dating to 1913, are supporting the town's ongoing historic preservation efforts.
