The Wellman Apartments, a three-story Georgian Revival building completed in Boise, Idaho in 1929, was designed by the architectural firm Tourtellotte & Hummel and built by local contractor J.O. Jordan. Commissioned by Eastern Oregon ranchers Walter and Ora Wellman, the structure originally contained 16 efficiency apartments, each equipped with a Murphy bed, kitchenette, dressing room, and bathroom—a compact, modern arrangement suited to the era. Shortly after opening, the building underwent renovation by new owners Charles Genoway and Joseph Dollard, who upgraded the bathrooms with tile and added two basement apartments in 1931, followed by installation of a ventilation system in 1932. Despite these interior modifications, the exterior has remained substantially unaltered. The building was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
