Westerly is a two-story brick house built in 1850 in Piffard, Livingston County, New York, constructed on a stone foundation by local builder McBride for Major William H. Spencer and his wife. The residence exhibits subdued Greek Revival characteristics with hints of Italian Villa design elements, likely following period builders' handbooks, and features a hipped roof and widow's walk. The house gained historical prominence when the Spencers' son William married Julia Tyler, daughter of President John Tyler, in 1869; after her death in 1871, the property passed to the Wadsworth family. Westerly was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
