Weston is a historic house and demonstration farm near Casanova in Fauquier County, Virginia, that evolved over nearly a century through successive architectural campaigns. The property began around 1810 as a modest one-and-a-half-story log dwelling, to which frame and weatherboard additions were appended in 1860, 1870, and again in 1893. The final major expansion created an L-shaped plan with a two-story section featuring steeply pitched gable roofs, gable dormers, and decoratively sawn bargeboards and eaves trim characteristic of the Carpenter Gothic style. The working farm retains a number of contributing nineteenth-century outbuildings—including a kitchen and wash house, smokehouse, spring house, tool house, blacksmith shop, stable, and barn—that document rural life and agricultural practice. Now operated as a house and farm museum, Weston was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
