Weston Colored School, a single-story rubbed red brick building on a fieldstone foundation located in Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia, was constructed in 1882 to serve the local African-American community's educational needs. Originally measuring 22 by 28 feet, the structure was expanded eastward by 12.5 feet in 1928. The school operated as an educational facility until desegregation in 1954, after which it underwent successive uses as storage, an agricultural classroom for Lewis County High School, and a workshop for mentally disabled students. Today it houses the Central West Virginia Genealogical & Historical Library and Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993, the building stands within the Weston Downtown Residential Historic District, designated in 2005.
