The Wholesale Florists Exchange, located at 1313 W. Randolph Street on Chicago's Near West Side, is a 1927 market hall designed by the architecture firm Fox & Fox. Built to consolidate the city's fragmented floral trade from a cramped Wabash Street market, the building introduced modern infrastructure including advanced refrigeration, efficient elevators, and streamlined loading facilities for processing and transporting flowers. Its Art Deco design features distinctive floral ornamentation, notably lotus sculptures adorning its fluted concrete piers, reflecting both the building's function and contemporary aesthetic sensibilities. The exchange functioned as the center of Chicago's flower industry until the 1950s, when the trade migrated to warmer climates. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
