Winstead House is a circa 1870 Italianate residence in Franklin, Tennessee, built by William O'Neal Perkins on the foundation of the McNutt House, which had burned around 1865. Constructed from brick and stone salvaged from the demolished Public Office on the court square, the two-story, five-bay structure features stone foundation, water table, and quoins with brick walls laid in American common bond. Its most distinctive architectural element is a massive ornate cornice supported by heavy paired brackets. The house was owned by Asa Hickman Jewell, II and his wife, Margaret Loring Jewell, and later became listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 as a contributing property within the Franklin Historic District. Today it serves as the administration building for O'More College of Design.
