Woodlawn, a Greek Revival villa in Austin, Texas, designed by architect Abner Cook, is a pre-Civil War mansion that served as residence to two Texas governors and became known variously as the Pease Mansion and Governor Shivers' Mansion. The house, which faces Pease Road but maintains two separate entrances—one from Niles Road and another from Northumberland Road—attracted notable visitors including Sam Houston, General George Custer, sculptor Elisabet Ney, Will Rogers, and costume designer Edith Head. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, the mansion stands as a significant example of Greek Revival domestic architecture in the antebellum South.
