Completed in early 2019, 70 St Mary Axe is a 90-metre neo-futurist office building in London's financial district, designed by Foggo Associates. Informally known as the "Can of Ham" for its distinctive cylindrical shape, the structure comprises 21 storeys of concrete, glass, steel, and aluminium, providing 28,000 square metres of office space. Its completion prompted the City of London Corporation to pedestrianise the surrounding section of St Mary Axe between Bevis Marks and Houndsditch, reshaping the public realm around this modern commercial landmark.
