Standing 628 feet tall in Midtown Manhattan, 888 Seventh Avenue is a 46-story modernist office tower completed in 1969 by Emery Roth & Sons. Its distinctive L-shaped plan wraps around the adjacent Rodin Studios, with wings extending north to 57th Street and east along Seventh Avenue. Originally constructed by and named for Arlen Realty & Development Corporation, the building now serves as headquarters for Vornado Realty Trust. A 2006 renovation by Moed de Armas clad the lobby, elevators, and plaza in white marble and extensively updated the HVAC systems, earning the building LEED gold certification. The Red Eye Grill occupies the ground level, and the building holds the distinction of being assigned its own ZIP Code, 10106—one of only 41 Manhattan buildings to receive such designation as of 2019.
