Ahlden House is a three-winged mansion built in 1549 at Ahlden on the Lüneburg Heath in Lower Saxony, Germany. Originally constructed as a water castle on the river Aller—which has since shifted its course—the château stands as an architectural heritage monument. The building is perhaps best known as the site of imprisonment of Sophia Dorothea of Celle, wife of George I of Great Britain and mother of George II. Today the structure serves as a private residence and arts auction house.
