Palacio Barolo is an Art Nouveau office tower in the Monserrat neighborhood of Buenos Aires, standing 100 meters tall on Avenida de Mayo. Designed by Mario Palanti and constructed in reinforced concrete, it dominated the city's skyline as its tallest building for more than a decade until the 1936 completion of the Kavanagh Building. The structure echoes its twin, Palacio Salvo, an eclectic-style building by Palanti in Montevideo. Declared a National Historical Monument of Argentina in 1997 and recognized as Cultural Heritage of Buenos Aires, the building today houses travel agencies, language schools, tango apparel retailers, and various professional offices.
