The Christian Specht Building stands at 1110 Douglas Street in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, a rare surviving example of cast-iron facade architecture in the state. Constructed in 1884 for Western Cornice Works and named after its founder Christian Specht, the building was designed by the architectural firm Mendelssohn, Fisher and Lawrie in the Mediterranean and Renaissance Revival styles. Its distinctive cast-iron facade makes it the only known existing building of this type in Nebraska and among the few ever constructed there. The structure earned recognition as an Omaha landmark in 1981 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
