The Kennedy Building is a high-rise commercial structure completed in 1910 in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, designed by the prominent local firm Fisher and Lawrie (with Mendelssohn). Representing a distinctive local interpretation of the Chicago School's Commercial Style, the building exemplifies the tripartite design method characteristic of early twentieth-century skyscraper architecture, an approach inspired by Louis Sullivan's influential approach to multi-story composition. Recognized for its architectural significance, the Kennedy Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
