The Daniel Worthen House is a modest 1½-story wood-frame dwelling in East Somerville, Massachusetts, built in 1841 for Daniel Worthen, a distiller. A rare example of Gothic Revival architecture in its neighborhood, the house features a jigsaw-cut foliate vergeboard adorning its gable and a three-bay front facade beneath a front-facing gable roof. A single-story shed-roof porch with turned posts provides entry. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the house exemplifies the modest residential application of the Gothic Revival style in nineteenth-century New England.
