The First Baptist Church of Vermillion stands in Vermillion, South Dakota as a Romanesque Revival structure of two distinct phases. The original wing, designed by architect Wallace LeRoy Dow and constructed in 1889–90, established the church's architectural character and earned it recognition for that pioneering work. A second wing, added in 1924 by the Sioux City, Iowa firm Beuttler and Arnold, was designed to harmonize with Dow's initial design. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
