Flatflesa Lighthouse stands on a small island in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway, roughly 9 kilometres west of Gossa and 5 kilometres east of Sandøya. Originally established in 1902, the structure was replaced in 1988 with an automated fiberglass tower, 11 metres tall and cylindrical in form, painted white with two black stripes. The light emits 30,800 candela in white, red, or green depending on direction, occulting three times every 10 seconds and visible up to 11 nautical miles. The lighthouse has been converted into a hotel offering limited guest accommodations while continuing to function as an active navigation aid.
