Grand Casino Arena is a multipurpose arena completed in 2000 in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, designed by Populous. Originally known as the Xcel Energy Center and affectionately called "The X" by fans, the venue has a capacity of 17,954 across four spectator levels—one suite level and three for general seating. It serves as home to the NHL's Minnesota Wild, the Minnesota Frost of the PWHL, and will host Major League Volleyball's Minnesota team. Owned by the city of Saint Paul and operated by Minnesota Sports & Entertainment, the arena occupies downtown's cultural corridor alongside the RiverCentre convention facility, Roy Wilkins Auditorium, and Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, sharing a single indoor access area with the RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
