Located on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, California, the Hanna–Honeycomb House represents a pivotal moment in Frank Lloyd Wright's career—his first work in the San Francisco Bay Area and his inaugural exploration of non-rectangular geometries. The residence, also known simply as the Hanna House, departed from Wright's earlier rectilinear designs to embrace the honeycomb pattern that gives it its distinctive name. In recognition of its significance to American architectural culture, the American Institute of Architects selected it as one of only seventeen Wright buildings deemed worthy of permanent preservation. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark on June 29, 1989, cementing its status among the nation's most important structures.
