The James H. Mann House, a 2½-story wood-frame dwelling at 23 Hancock Street in Winchester, Massachusetts, exemplifies Gothic Revival design built by prominent local builder James H. Mann for his own residence. The structure features a distinctive double roof above its main body resembling a monitor, complemented by a three-story tower crowned with a jerkin-headed roof whose gable lines display ornamental Stick-style vergeboard. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the house showcases Mann's architectural sensibility, evident also in his construction of the Carr-Jeeves House, another picturesque structure blending diverse stylistic elements.
