Located at 3601 South Cherry Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the Jewel Bain House Number 2 is a rare residential exemplar of Moderne architecture in the state. Built in 1937, this roughly cubic brick structure stands two stories beneath a hip roof, its walls strikingly accented with carrara glass. A carport extends southward from the main volume, with a single-story ell continuing further south. The house was the second of four dwellings designed by Jewel Bain for her own family, and its sophisticated application of the Moderne aesthetic to domestic architecture distinguishes it within Arkansas. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
