Located at 13 Bradlee Road in Medford, Massachusetts, the Jonathan Wade House is a rare surviving example of 17th-century brick construction in the city. Built in 1683, this First Period house represents one of only three known brick structures from that era in Medford, alongside the Isaac Royall House and Peter Tufts House. The original brick dwelling was documented on the site by 1689, when Jonathan Wade, Jr., died. During the mid-18th century, the house received Georgian styling that updated its appearance to contemporary tastes. In the 19th century it was owned by Samuel C. Lawrence, Medford's first mayor. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and later served as a medical office for many years.
