Located in Sayville, Suffolk County, New York, the Joseph Wood House is a Shingle Style residence built in 1889 by architect Isaac H. Green Jr. The 2-story, wood-framed structure exhibits the style's characteristic complexity through its varied massing, featuring a gambrel-roofed main block paired with 1½-story wings. A continuous porch with attenuated Doric columns and a porte cochere enhance its exterior composition. The house was recognized as a historic place when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
