Built in 1915 in the hamlet of Jump River, Wisconsin, this small Prairie School town hall was designed by the celebrated architectural firm Purcell & Elmslie. Constructed of board and batten, the building represents the smallest public structure the firm ever designed and exemplifies their characteristic Prairie School style inflected with Boom Town aesthetics. Despite its modest size and materials, the building demonstrates the architects' refined design principles and has been recognized as historically significant, earning listing on both the National Register of Historic Places (1974) and the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places.
