Khairy Pasha Palace, a neo-Mamluk structure completed in 1870, stands at 113 Qasr El Eyni Street in Tahrir Square, Cairo. Originally built as a palace for Khairy Pasha, the building was repurposed as the American University in Cairo's Downtown campus beginning in 1920, a role it maintained until 2008 when the university relocated to its new campus in New Cairo. An adjacent structure, originally constructed as the Girls' School of the Greek Community of Cairo, was later acquired by AUC in 1964 and served as the institution's Greek Campus.
