Lang Park, a multi-purpose stadium in the Brisbane suburb of Milton, was established in 1914 on the site of a former cemetery and has evolved into a major sporting venue hosting rugby league, rugby union, and soccer. Originally home to cycling, athletics, and soccer, the stadium came under the control of the Brisbane Rugby League in 1957. Its most recent major redevelopment in 2003 expanded capacity to 52,500 spectators. Known commercially as Suncorp Stadium since 1994, it serves as home ground for the Brisbane Broncos and Dolphins (NRL), Queensland Reds (Super Rugby), and Brisbane Roar FC (A-League Men), and regularly hosts Australian national teams. The venue has hosted major international tournaments including the 2008 Rugby League World Cup final, the 2003 Rugby World Cup, the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, and the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, and is slated to host Rugby Sevens and the football final at the 2032 Summer Olympics.
