Stadium MK is a football stadium in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, designed by Populous and opened in 2007. Home to EFL League One side Milton Keynes Dons and Milton Keynes Dons Women, the stadium features two tiers with a capacity of 30,500 as of 2015, expandable to 45,000 with the addition of a third tier. The design meets UEFA's Elite Stadium specifications and includes a Desso GrassMaster playing surface. Beyond football, the venue has hosted rugby union matches, including three matches during the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and serves as a concert venue for major artists. The stadium complex was originally conceived to include Arena MK, intended as a home for the Milton Keynes Lions basketball team, though funding shortfalls prevented its completion and the Lions ultimately relocated to London after 2012.
