Kirklees Stadium in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, is a multi-purpose venue designed by Populous and completed in 1993, opening as home to both Huddersfield Town Association Football Club and Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Football Club from 1994 onward, following both teams' relocation from Leeds Road. With a capacity of 24,121, the stadium has hosted major international competitions including the Rugby League World Cup (1995, 2000, 2013, and 2021) and the 1999 Rugby World Cup. Its naming rights have cycled through several corporate sponsors since construction—Alfred McAlpine initially, followed by Galpharm International in 2004, John Smith's Brewery in 2012, and Accu from 2025—when Huddersfield Town Football Club assumed sole ownership.
