Situated on the artificial Malacca Island in Malacca City, Malaysia, the Malacca Straits Mosque is an Islamic architectural structure inaugurated on 24 November 2006 by the King of Malaysia. Constructed at a cost of approximately MYR10 million, the mosque blends Middle Eastern and Malay craftsmanship and features a striking design that appears to float when water levels rise. Its entrance is defined by two intersecting archways adorned with stained glass, while a 30-metre-tall minaret serves the dual purpose of both religious and practical function, acting as a lighthouse to aid maritime navigation.
