The Max Keil Building is a historic commercial structure in Wilmington, Delaware, originally constructed around 1875 and substantially remodeled in 1938 in the Art Moderne and Art Deco style. The three-story, single-bay brick building features a distinctive front facade with large display windows on the ground floor and an austere peach-colored terra-cotta wall punctuated by a prominent rectangular window spanning the upper two stories. Built using wall-bearing brick construction with a rectangular footplan, the building exemplifies the streamlined aesthetic popular in mid-twentieth-century commercial design. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, it has served retail purposes into the modern era.
