McLane Stadium is an American football venue in Waco, Texas, owned and operated by Baylor University. Designed by the international architecture firm Populous, the stadium opened in 2014 with a capacity of 45,140 and was engineered to be expandable to 55,000 seats for future expansion. Originally called Baylor Stadium, it was renamed in December 2013 to honor Baylor alumnus and business magnate Drayton McLane, Jr., whose lead gift enabled the stadium's construction. The Bears played their inaugural game there on August 31, 2014, defeating SMU 45–0, replacing the university's previous home, Floyd Casey Stadium.
