The McTavish reservoir, an underground water storage facility holding 37 million gallons, lies beneath Rutherford Park on the southern slope of Mount Royal in Montreal's Ville-Marie district, adjacent to McGill University's campus. Built in 1932, the reservoir is served by Châteauesque-style pump-houses positioned in the park's south-eastern corner. The site also houses the McTavish automated weather reporting station.
