Located on the outskirts of Milan in Segrate, the Mondadori Palace is an office building designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and constructed between 1970 and 1975 as headquarters for Arnoldo Mondadori Editore, a major Italian publisher. One of Niemeyer's most significant European works, the building exemplifies his signature sculptural modernism through dramatically curved forms and monumental presence. Its most striking feature is a cantilevered glass office block suspended beneath gigantic parabolic arches of raw concrete, demonstrating structural audacity and representing an evolution of concepts earlier explored in Brasilia's Itamaraty Palace. The building holds status as Italian national heritage.
