Located in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, the Anjaneyar Temple is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Hanuman, distinguished by its 5.5-metre-tall image of the deity—among India's tallest representations of the god. Built in the Dravidian architectural style characteristic of Tamil temples, the structure features a pillared hall that leads to the sanctum and follows the Vaikhanasa tradition. Local legend connects the temple to Narasimha, Vishnu's avatar, through his appearance to both Hanuman and Lakshmi. The temple sustains active religious life through four daily rituals and numerous yearly festivals, most notably the fifteen-day Panguni Uthiram celebration during March–April, when the presiding deities' images are ceremonially carried through the temple streets. The site is maintained by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
