Built between 1895 and 1898 in Ocate, New Mexico, the Narciso Valdez House is a one-and-a-half-story adobe structure finished with scored plaster to simulate masonry, displaying Queen Anne stylistic features throughout its interior. The house is distinguished by its carved and painted wood moldings—the largest and most elaborate example of this type known in New Mexican architecture—which earned it recognition as one of Ocate's most important structures. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, it stands across from the J.P. Strong Store, another National Register property.
