The New Era Building, also known as the Dobson Town Clock Building, is a Late Victorian commercial structure in Maquoketa, Iowa, designed by architect John Lake and completed in 1890. Originally owned by Dr. A.B. Dobson, a self-proclaimed "clairvoyant physician" who conducted a mail-order medical practice requesting one dollar and a lock of hair from patients, the building once featured a distinctive clock tower that was dismantled during World War II for scrap metal to support the war effort. The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
