Nymphenburg Palace in Munich's Neuhausen-Nymphenburg district is a sprawling Baroque palace built beginning in 1664 by architects Lorenzo Perti and Agostino Barelli. Constructed of Kelheim limestone, the palace served as the principal summer residence of Bavaria's ruling House of Wittelsbach. With a frontal width of 632 meters along its north–south axis, it surpasses even Versailles in scale. Together with its adjacent palace park, Nymphenburg ranks among Europe's premier royal palaces and stands as an architectural heritage monument in Bavaria.
